Season of Lent
During Lent we make preparations to climb the Holy Mountain of Easter. Attentive to the Word of God and Prayer, we prepare ourselves by Penance for the renewal of our Baptismal Promises.

1. Archbishop Diarmuid Martin wishes the following short message read out at Masses this weekend:
“I would like to express my very special appreciation for the generosity shown by the people of the Archdiocese of Dublin on the occasion of the annual collection for the Society of St Vincent de Paul just before Christmas. The final figures for the collection show an increase of 24% over last year, with a total of €2,195,570.
Despite the many difficulties that families and individuals face, I am genuinely moved to see the depth of the sense of care and solidarity which this generosity shows.
The members of the St Vincent de Paul Society do great work and I would recommend their work and mission especially to young people.”
2. St Patrick’s Day falls on Tuesday. Masses will be as follows:
• Monday 7.30 pm
• Tuesday 9 and 11 am
• Gormanstown Tuesday at 10 am.
