1st Sunday of Lent

During Lent we make preparations to climb the Holy Mountain of Easter. Attentive to the Word of God and Prayer, we prepare ourselves by Penance for the renewal of our Baptismal Promises.
1. Mass on weekdays during Lent at 9.30 am and 7.30 pm.
2. There will be a short version of the Rosary every Monday and Wednesday at 3 pm in the Parish Church during Lent. You are invited to come along with your children to pray.
3. There will be training for Altar Servers on Monday at 7 pm.
4. Practice for the Youth Choir will take place on Monday at 7 pm in the Parish Centre. Anyone in the age group 13 to 25 in welcome.
5. There will be a meeting for all Ministers of Holy Communion in the Parish church on Tuesday at 8.30 pm.
6. The Pastoral Council will meet on Wednesday.
7. Friday will be the First Friday of March. The Masses will be offered for all whose names are on the Altar List of the Dead.
8. There will be a meeting for Parents and Godparents preparing for Baptism on next Sunday at 12 noon.
9. We would like to hear from any parents who would like their child baptised at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night.
10. The Dublin Diocese is recruiting again this year for Candidate Parish Pastoral Workers. Details are on the diocesan website www.dublindiocese.ie. We draw your attention to an Open Evening in Clonliffe College next Thursday to provide potential candidates with more information about the role.
