Year of St Paul, Apostle, 28 June 2008 – 29 June 2009, commemorating the 2000th anniversary of his birth.
The Conversion of St Paul, 25 January; Solemnity of SS Peter and Paul, Apostles, 29 June.
1. Monday is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, the day when we bless candles for use in the church or at home. You are welcome to bring candles from home for the blessing which will take place at 9.30 Mass.
2. There will be training for the Altar Servers on Monday at 7pm.
3. On Tuesday we observe the Memorial of St Blaise, Bishop and Martyr. The blessing of throats will take place at the 9.30 Mass.
4. Members of the Pastoral Council, both past and present, will have a day of reflection and planning on next Saturday.
5. The Preparation Meeting for Parents and Godparents presenting their child for Baptism will take place next Sunday at 12 noon in the Parish church.
6. Please remember in your prayers those who died recently: Terry Devlin, Bishop Rogan Park. May he rest in peace.

Glorious St Paul, most zealous apostle, martyr for the love of Christ,
Give us a deep faith, a steadfast hope, a burning love for our Lord,
So that we can proclaim with you ‘It is no longer I who live,
But Christ who lives in me.’
Help us to become apostles, serving the Church with a pure hear,
Witnesses to her truth and beauty amidst the darkness of our days.
With you we praise God our Father:
‘To Him be the glory, in the Church and in Christ Jesus,
