1.The Blood Donation Clinic will be in Kilcullen Community Centre on Monday from 4.30 to 8.30 pm. At present they are experiencing difficulty in collecting enough voluntary blood donations in order to meet hospital requirements of 3,000 units of blood a week.
2.There will be training for Altar Servers on Monday at 7 pm in the Parish church.
3.Bishop Eamonn will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday in Gormanstown church at 10 am and in the Parish church at 12.30 pm.
4.Last October we informed you that negotiations were taking place regarding the Car Park with the adjoining developer and we had drawings on display of what was proposed. We’re sorry to have to inform you now that those negotiations have broken down and the deal is now off.
I want to pay a very special tribute to members of the Finance Committee who invested an inordinate amount of their talent, time and treasure in trying to make the deal happen for the good of the Parish.
5.We’re awaiting a report on the condition of the roof of the Parish church and the Parish House and when we have that report we will inform you of its contents.
6.We in Kilcullen Parish have been invited to host a Candidate Parish Pastoral Worker for their placement. This weekend we welcome our Candidate Pastoral Worker, Hanna Evans, who will be with us until the end of May. Hanna will introduce herself after Holy Communion.
7.Please remember in your prayers those who died recently:
John Jordan, Bishop Rogan Park,
Sheila Bergin, Sunnyhill,
John Brown, Kinneagh,
Pat Miller, Avondale Drive.
May they rest in peace.
